Lowered price! Up for sale is my Ruger Security Six, 2.75 inch barrel, stainless, with rounded butt grip. This solid, six shot .357 magnum revolver is built like a tank, built to last and fire every time, no matter what. Completely reliable, accurate, and heavy enough to absorb full load .357 magnum but light enough to conceal and carry every day. Without a doubt, this revolver has the best trigger I've ever felt on any handgun. Smooth, light enough to pull all day but not so light you can't tell where it sets, and accurate as the day is long. Recoil is so light my wife shot it and didn't scream like an Alien extra about to have an alien rip through it's rib cage. Wouldn't it be nice to have a snub nose .357 magnum, 6 shot, that handled like a much bigger revolver, and fired every single time? No worries about magazines jamming, FTE or FTFs.. Complete piece of mind and power to spare. If you don't know anything about the Ruger Security Six line, let me enlighten you. Basically the same size as a K frame Smith & Wesson, but rugged, like you don't have to buy her dinner before taking her to your hotel room kinda rugged! These magnificent revolvers were the precurser to the GP100 and SP101 lines, and fit somewhere in between in terms of size. Why cant i download any apps on my iphone 6. Slightly smaller and lighter than the GP100, but still retaining six round capacity, still be light enough to carry, but durable enough to drop in the middle of a stampede of Obamabots at the voting line and still function. The Security Six has fully adjustable rear sights, where as the Speed Six and Service Six had fixed sights. The Speed Six, however, had very nicely rounded frame for smaller grips for concealing. This Security Six, however, has the best of both worlds! A common practice back in the day was to have the grip of the frame of a Security Six rounded to match the more concealable frame of the Speed Six, yet retain the adjustable sights. I had Kyle at Pullman Arms round the frame for me, and put on a set of Speed Six Hogue wooden grips, they look fantastic and are more than ample to help you control recoil. Follow up shots are easier than you would expect, even with hot .357 loads. And the nice rounded wooden grips make concealing a breeze! Full size 6 shot .357 that doesn't punish your hands, with quick and easy follow up shots? Too good to be true, you ask? NO! True! Download game prehistoric fun park 320x240 art. It will now accept any Speed Six grips, which also allow for the elusive Boot Grips if you want to get some of those. I can forward the information for a company that makes those to anyone interested. I am not the original owner, this revolver has the 157 serial number prefix, which puts it's manufacture date around 1981 or 82. It has been well used, but certainly not abused. There is only one minor blemish under the cylinder on one side, but it functions and looks fantastic! I was amazed at how accurate it was. This revolver does not have an internal lock! The ONLY reason I am selling this is because I am having seller's remorse about getting rid of a previous handgun and want to get another. If I had the funds I would keep it and just pay for what I want, but I can't this close to Christmas, and I am impatient. Included with the revolver is the following: 150 rounds Remington 125gr. Semi Jacketed Hollow Points 50 rounds Remington 180gr. HTP Semi Jacketed Hollow Points 61 rounds Hornady 158gr. XTP Hollow Points 50 rounds Fiocchi XTP Hollow Points that's 311 rounds of .357 magnum Hollow Points (approx. $200+ value, all factory, no reloads) 150 rounds of 38 spl, various manufacturers, all factory. 20 rounds .38 spcl. hollow points, Hornady XTP I think. 2 Speed Loaders 2 Speed strips 6 .38 spcl. snap caps Bianchi Black Widow OWB leather holster Crossbreed-style (Shepherd Leather, I think) IWB holster, makes this super concealable and comfortable to wear all day long. Plastic pistol case, lockable (no lock provided), generic, not the original Ruger case. Three sets of grips, original factory wooden square butt Security Six grips (still fit though there is a noticable gap on the back where it was rounded, but fits securely if you want), Hogue wooden Speed Six grips (installed), and a set of Pachmeyer rubber grips. Plastic ammo can. With the grips that's over $400 worth of accessories that I am including! I will part with this whole package for $650 cash! Just the revolver and grips, $500. I will sell this FTF within a reasonable distance of Worcester down to Uxbridge. Sorry, no trades accepted right now. PM me here or email [email protected] Thank you. boa2 is correct, they are built like tanks. The differences are purely cosmetic.
I was buying 'Sixes' decades ago, foolishly sold them off (including a stainless 9mm Speed Six, dammit, have you seen what they are worth now?) and began buying them again a few years ago. I live in an area where you can buy mint Speed Sixes (although in .357 mag only), Service Sixes and mint Security Sixes of all configurations (for $350 ) AT WILL. Also available are Ruger .38 Specials and .380s for the European market as well as other collectors. (You can also find other great deals on S&Ws, Colts and Dan Wessons. That's the biggest reason I have so many revolvers.) BTW - boa2, I recently turned down a spotless 4' Boa for $1,000 at local shop (!) Sorry, didn't mean to brag, but I just wanted everyone to know that West Virginia has at least ONE reason to be proud. This is my 4' heavy barrel Security Six in stainless. Badger grips, heavy barrel, great trigger action, pretty much a perfect revolver. I paid $350 at a local gun shop.; Ruger Security Six Serial Number Location In TexasRuger Security Six 357 Serial Number Location
